A friend of mine living in Japan sent me some wonderful photos of the Sakura (Cherry Blossoms) in full bloom, taken at Matsumoto Castle about 15 minutes away from where I lived.
So, I wouldn’t (more of couldn’t!) be wordless today. Look!
When Pristine was like, 2 or 3 years old, she loved to cross this red bridge and jump on it, testing if she could bring it down. Of course she couldn’t. Then she asks, “try it, mom!”. Oh no, I did not take up the challenge. This is a piece of history, I wouldn’t risk it.
The sakuras on the side of the lake is so beautiful. I used to walk alot here during sakura season. I loved to stare at these beauties for as long as I can.
Of the many almost impossible things Dubai is trying to make possible, I bet they couldn’t produce these lovely blooms artificially! Not in a hundred years!
Thank you to my friend, Yuki san who sent me these photos!
Wow, that really is very beautiful. Japanese architecture and landscape design is very elegant, just right amount of texture and sparseness.

Those are stunningly beautiful. Man could never re-create such beauty….even in Dubai where it seems they can do anything!!!
Not much cherry blossom here at the moment, but some cute spring lambs on my blog from just down the road from the cottage.

These certainly can’t be reproduced artificially! Unless maybe they put a blanket of cooling system over the entire city!

Hey, a little package arrived for me! Thank you so much for this. I think I will find it really helpful. It has been such a stressful year.

Beautiful photo’s!
There is a small store in the city of Haleiwa (on the North Shore, on the island of Oahu), called Masumoto’s Shave Ice. They serve the most wonderful shaved ice topped with flavored syrups. You can get just the shaved ice, or shaved ice on top of soft serve ice cream – OR – served on top of sweet red beans…my favorite!
I wonder if Matsumoto, is the owners name, or if they might be from this area in Japan?

Cherry blossoms in bloom in Japan has to be one of the most beautiful views.
You asked where in Japan I’m headed, but I won’t know until about early June. If I’m near where you will be headed, it would be really neat to get to meet up!

Do you have cherry blossoms in spring in SA, Mel? Because it would be amazing if there are cherry blossoms in the northern hemisphere during April and in southern hemisphere in what, October?
