The year Christmas changed for me

Do you have that one Christmas memory that stand out from the rest? That one night that changed your life. Forever.

I have one – it was the Christmas I first became a mom eight years ago. It was an emotional experience (I’m not talking about the labor and delivery as that is quite emotional and traumatic at the same time). Something that I could not ever forget.

I remember the day when Pristine was born. It was two days before Christmas. I was so happy, in tears and suddenly all the pain I felt didn’t matter anymore. I have my baby, that one person I’m going to love the rest of my life. Right there and then I knew – my life will never be the same again.

Never mind I spent that Christmas in the hospital on Christmas night. Alone.

With her in my arms, I was complete.

Happy 8th birthday Pristine! No matter how old you become, you will remain to be that little one who made a big impact in my life. I love you.
