THE BOSS is not too happy when I told him I have to be off on afternoons until THE MOM arrives. No one to take care of THE KID after school hours, you know.
But instead of symphatizing with me, I was showered with ironic words and unnecessary suggestions. He told me, the problem with me is that I am trying to juggle a million things in one single time that is why I am having a crisis.
Why can’t he understand that sometimes even iron-clad career women have to take some afternoons off to just be mothers, plain and simple. He also needs to know that I’d rather lose my job than lose my daughter. (He was suggesting I drop my kid at some babysitting service available which I don’t really like, kid-safety wise.)
