Except for a few problems about the eternal Dubai traffic, I am happy but terrified(?) to write that life is going well, for now. There, I hope writing about it is not a jinx as I love being worry-free right now!
I am bringing some books to read on the bus. The traffic is just too heavy and I figured out that instead of looking at the whole mess on the streets with swerving cars and some dangerous driving, I might as well stock up on some knowledge while entertaining myself. There seems to be road constructions going on at every corner of the city. Also, the number of cars increased as some people opt to lease cars during the hottest months. The usual 30 minute trip home doubled or maybe more. I am off from work by 6 pm sharp, I get home at 7:30 p.m.
Funny thing happens whenever I sit near the bus driver — I can’t help but jerk my reactive foot as if pressing on the brakes whenever the bus is nearly colliding with a car ahead! Passengers around would look at me strangely. Embarrasing. That made me decide to keep my eyes off the road and stick to my books instead.
